Sue Gnagy Fegan taught for over 30 years at The Jemciy School, a private school for students with language based learning issues, like dyslexia. During her career she was a one-one tutor for reading, taught small groups, and taught written language classes for 5th-8th grade. Sue became a Fellow in the Academy for Orton Gillingham Practitioners and Educators over ten years ago and since has taught several advanced level courses on teaching our language to these students. Before retiring early to move to the beach with her husband who did retire, she was the Middle School Language Department Head, in charge of creating individualized programs for about 100 students as well as training new teachers and consulting regularly with the full middle school language staff. Other responsibilities included scheduling, curriculum development and yearly presentations at IDA conferences on the importance of Multisensory Teaching becoming an integral part of every day teaching.
